The One for You!
Hailing from Houstons notorious eastside where gangs, warehouses and railroad tracks meet T.Y.C. is quickly gaining a buzz in the burgeoning Houston hip hop market. Not contented with being a run of the mill hip hop act T.Y.C. fuses the soul of blues and Latin flavors with a southern rap twist. Even though, T.Y.C. passionately spits sociallycharged rhymes that elucidate the life of the Houston streets, their style is versatile and universal providing them wide crossover appeal. The group, comprised of DNATE, LIL CHRIS, LOS, JAMES,AND LYRICS formed after meeting each other in a series of local rap battles. In fact DNATE and JAMES often faced off in competition but kept drawing. Their mutual respects for one anothers abilities lead them to form a group. The duo hooked up with childhood friend and super producer DNATE and started recording a mixtape. While LYRICS and LIL CHRIS where working on their project, DNATE was finishing up his cousin, LOS's solo debut. It wasnt long before these talented rappers met and after a legendary freestyle session T.Y.C. was born.
