looking for a friend possibly more.
What's there to say? I was until recently in the US Army, I finished my tour of service and am now looking to get back into the swing of civilian life. I served a tour in Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom (1FebJun 2003). I work to live I don't live to work. I don't like to play stupid games with people's emotions and don't want people playing games with mine. I do stand up for what I believe in. So crying just to win the argument is not going to work. I'm a firm believer in no matter how terrible the argument, never go to bed angry at one another. Most sins out there are forgivable, a few are not (mainly infidelity) I'm pretty straight forward. I'm a very family oriented kind of person. True friends and family are a gift and a treasure.
The things that I appreciate most in a partner is trust, honesty & loyalty. I like to know that if we're serious about each other that I'm not going to come home and find you with another man, but on the same note if you're not happy tell me, don't make me guess if it's something I can correct I will. The keys to a lasting relationship are trust, honesty, and communication. We're not mind readers if you don't talk about what's on your mind or what's bothering you it'll fester into something incurable and then the relationship is doomed. The most important thing is that you are friends, you like each other for who you are not how great things are in the sack. A healthy sex life is important, but that can be worked on if you don't like the person you're with for who they are then when the sex isn't there anymore there is nothing.
